According to the Danish NemKonto Act, a NemKonto can only be assigned to accounts in financial institutions that are subject to financial regulation.
Therefore, you should be aware that some financial institutions do not live up to the necessary requirements. This may affect whether the institution is required to comply with special security and supervisory regulations that apply to other financial institutions.
If you are unsure whether the financial institution you wish to use for your NemKonto is subject to financial regulation, you can search for the institution in the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority’s company register.
Please note that the Financial Supervisory Authority’s company register does not provide a complete overview of all financial institutions that can be used for NemKonto.
Companies should be aware that most financial institutions require companies to open a business account before a NemKonto can be designated.
