Technical Connection for Private Sector Account Brokers

To connect to the NemKonto system as a private sector account broker, the company must decide which type of connection it wishes to use.

There are three different types of connection:

• Type 1

• Type 2

• Type 3

The type of connection the company should choose depends on how many private sector payers the company expects to have.

Type 1

Companies connected under connection type 1 handle only their own payments. This means the company acts as both private sector payer and private sector account broker simultaneously.

Type 2

Companies connected under connection type 2 act as private sector account broker for 2 to 5 other private sector payers.

Type 3

Companies connected under connection type 3 act as private sector account broker for more than 5 private sector payers.

The different types of connection vary in setup and price.

The prices for connecting to the NemKonto system vary depending on the type of connection the company chooses.

The company should consider which type of connection best suits their needs before submitting a connection request.

If a company wishes to connect as a private sector account broker, the process will proceed as shown in the illustration here:

To initiate the connection process, the company must complete and submit a connection request form for the NemKonto system.

The Danish Agency for Digital Government (Digitaliseringsstyrelsen) will then engage in dialogue with the company regarding the connection possibilities.

Once the Agency for Digital Government and the company have reached an agreement on connection to the NemKonto system, the private sector account broker will receive a letter from the NemKonto system’s provider concerning the technical connection process.

In consultation with the provider, the company will agree on the detailed process for the technical connection to the NemKonto system.

The first step in connecting to the NemKonto system is for the private sector account broker to complete the request form below and submit it to NemKonto Support via the contact form.

Based on the submitted form, the Agency for Digital Government (Digitaliseringsstyrelsen) will respond to the company’s request regarding the next steps in the process.

A private sector account broker can choose to connect multiple systems to the NemKonto system. A connection fee must be paid for each system connected to the NemKonto system. This connection fee covers the connection test that must be carried out for each system to be connected.

To connect an additional system to the NemKonto system, the private sector account broker must complete the request form below and submit it to NemKonto Support via the contact form.

Based on the submitted form, NemKonto Support will enter into dialogue with the private sector account broker regarding the further connection process.

To connect to the NemKonto system, the company must enter into a technical connection agreement with the provider of the NemKonto system.

The purpose of the technical connection agreement is to describe the connection to the NemKonto system required to ensure authentication to the network infrastructure. Additionally, the technical parameters to be used in the setup of the data transmission software are described.

The private sector account broker commits to giving the NemKonto system provider, KMD, one month's notice of any changes to the technical connection agreement.

The guide for the connection test outlines the process for the entire course of a connection test between a private sector account broker and the NemKonto system.

The purpose of the connection test is to ensure that the necessary testing of the interface between the private sector account broker and the NemKonto system is carried out.

The connection test consists of a single test sequence, which lasts 2–3 days. The test sequence is described in more detail in the guide.

Before a connection test can begin, the private sector account broker must have requested connection and signed a connection agreement along with a set of connection terms.

To complete the connection test, which consists of a series of test scenarios, the private sector account broker must use a set of test data.

The private sector account broker must generate and send data from their own system to the NemKonto system based on the provided test data.

As a private sector account broker, you are responsible for invoicing and providing support to the private sector payers. Likewise, private sector account brokers must be able to handle inquiries from their private sector payers related to the companies’ use of the NemKonto system.
